Board of Trustees Meeting
September 16, 2025
ROLL CALL: Members present were Mary Jo Bish, Ron Eckel, Steve Gross, Sharon Nigh,
David St..Louis, John Selzer, and Amber Stark. Also present were Julie Getz (Fiscal Officer),
Laura King (Secretary), and Ariel Jacobs (Director).
SECRETARY’S MINUTES: Sharon made and Amber seconded a motion to approve the
secretary’s minutes with corrections. All ayes recorded.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Cherie Runnels, Adult Services, addressed the Board about reduced
hours of adult programming, specifically Cookbook Club and juggling times with children’s
programs. It was suggested that instead of both Cherie and Kathy attending Cookbook Club each
month, they could alternate the duties every other month.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT: Ron made and Sharon seconded a motion to accept the Resolution
Accepting Amounts and Rates as Determined by the Budget Commission and Authorizing the
Necessary Tax Levies and Certifying Them to the County Auditor. All ayes recorded. The
monthly allocations were Gross $31,286.18 minus Wood link $1,515.36 for a Net of $29,770.82.
David made and Steve seconded a motion to accept the Fiscal Report including the transfer of
$1,258.91 from Other-Other 1000-110-590-0000 to Tax Collection Fees 1000-110-373-0000-,
and Memorials and Donations of Pemberville Free Fair $72.01 and General Donations of $6.80.
All ayes recorded.
DIRECTOR’S REPORT
FUNDRAISING: Ariel has been looking at fundraising opportunities.
ADOPT A YEARBOOK: Ask members of the community to adopt a yearbook by paying for one or more yearbooks to be digitized. The cost would be determined by page.
Amber made and Mary Jo seconded a motion to accept the Director’s Report. All ayes recorded.
OLD BUSINESS
EPA REIMBURSEMENT: Reimbursement for EPA water testing was received September 2025. The amount received will be reflected in the September Fiscal Officer's report.
NEW BUSINESS
REQUEST TO LEASE LUCKEY BRANCH PARKING LOT: Ron made and Mary Jo seconded a motion to pursue Skymont Contractor’s request to lease the gravel section of the parking lot for a year or more. The company will be doing utility work for the village of Luckey. All ayes recorded. Legal will provide a sample agreement. The lease would begin October 2025.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: David’s term on the Board expires December 31, 2025.
REMINDERS: Luckey Fall Fest September 26-28. Volunteers needed.
