Board of Trustees Minutes

JULY 21, 2026

Call to Order: President John Selzer called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm. Members present were John Selzer, Ron Eckel, Steve Gross, Sharon Nigh, and Amber Stark. Also present were Julie Getz (Fiscal Officer), Rachel Eyermann (Director), and Laura King (Secretary pro-tem).

Secretary's Minutes: Sharon made and Amber seconded a motion to approve the Secretary’s minutes. All ayes recorded.

Fiscal Officer's Report: 

Julie has finally gotten an amortization schedule from State Bank. It was suggested that any sizable donations be deposited in Star Ohio to gather interest and use it at the end of the loan. That way the table won’t be skewed.

The following was received as memorials ($260) for Mary Kuhlman:

Steve moved and Ron seconded a motion to approve the Fiscal Officer’s report. All ayes recorded.

Director's Report

SRP has been very successful and busy. New computers still in the set-up stage. Eagle Scout project at Pemberville is completed. Pemberville parade float “Our Patrons are Dino-mite.” Q-2 Stony Ridge not doing well in materials circulation. Would like to put more emphasis on the recording studio at Luckey. Joyce in the Prosecuting Attorney’s office has been asked for advice to get unreturned hot spots back. The library received a public records request for copier use and it was referred to Joyce. Steve made and Amber seconded a motion to accept the Director’s Report. All ayes recorded.

Old Business

Radon Mitigation: There are still only two quotes. Steve suggested some actions the Board could take to handle the mitigation ourselves.

For example: at Luckey

-keep the basement door closed at all times

-basement storage is not occupied so the number reported not that bad

-put a cover on the sump pump

At Stony Ridge there is no need to take any action.

Ron made and Amber seconded a motion that Steve make the necessary modifications at Stony Ridge and Luckey to reduce radon without the use of a mitigation service. All ayes recorded.

New Business

Pemberville Fair Booth: A sign up schedule to greet people was passed around. Help will also be needed to set up and take down the booth.

Pemberville Parking Lot: Rutter and Dudley have received and signed our contract.

August Programs: Please see the calendar.

Next Meeting: At Stony Ridge August 18, 4:30 PM

Adjournment: Ron made and Steve seconded a motion to adjourn at 5:28 pm. All ayes recorded.
